Holidays

Frosty breeze
Windows freeze
Snow that cover
Evergreen trees

Candles bright
Colored light
Children running
With delight

Crystal snow
Brightly glow
Frosty wind that
Gently blows

Drinking joe
Cookie dough
Telling stories
From long ago

The time of year
With holiday cheer
The year is ending
A new one is near

Family dear
Friendship sincere
I wish you all
A merry year

  1. Whoopie!!!!!! Glad to see you wrote a new one. I like it a lot. Very nice rhyme scheme and choice of words. I'm especially interested in what exactly the inspiration for the line “drinking joe” was. But all in all, a very nice poem that captured the holiday season very nicely.
